The forces that were available to defend Malta in the event of an invasion by the Axis powers during World War Two.

On 4th April 1807, a group of around 200 soldiers of the Froberg Regiment rose up against their own officers and seized Fort Ricasoli.

For a century and a half, Malta was to become a fortress, and it is therefore no surprise that the British Army's legacy is still evident.
